My experience organizing the "Cool Trip" to the library

On the afternoon of July 20/09, 15+ seniors came to visit us at the library both male and female. They came from the Heritage Towers, Pioneer Manor, Prairie View and the Riverview Estates to see what the library has to offer. We have acquired many new Large Print titles so they were able to check these out. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and thanked us for the wonderful afternoon. We served fruit punch, tea, and a delicious dessert. We also did a few crafts so that our patrons could take home a remembrance. Having others enjoy what you have worked to organize is very satisfying and makes the work worthwhile.

The table settings done by Loretta were an inspiration to me for future events. It was nice to have the seniors visit the library and enjoy crafts, cake, tea, punch and social time.
